MatHelvetica is a Swiss sole proprietorship based in the Canton of Lucerne, with numerous collaborations in mathematics education and research across Switzerland and worldwide.

My name is Marco Antei, and mathematics has been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. After completing my degree and PhD in Pure Mathematics in Italy and France, I had the privilege of working and teaching in several countries across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. These experiences not only shaped my academic path but also gave me a truly international perspective on education and research.
My research lies at the crossroads of algebra, algebraic geometry, and arithmetic geometry. Over the years, I have focused on topics such as group actions, representation theory, Galois theory, cryptography, and applications to AI, blockchains, and statistical analysis. I have been part of internationally funded research projects and have published in leading mathematical journals. Conferences and invited lectures have taken me from Cambridge and Paris to Mumbai, Seoul, and San José, allowing me to share my work with mathematicians worldwide.
Teaching mathematics has always been as important to me as research. I have taught a wide range of courses, from Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations for engineers to advanced courses in Algebraic and Arithmetic Geometry for mathematics students. My teaching career has taken me from the University of Milan and the University of Lille to the University of Costa Rica, and today to the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). In addition, I maintain a long-term collaboration with the International School of Personalized Learning (ISPL) in Switzerland, where I support international students preparing for A-Level and GCSE examinations. I particularly value making mathematics accessible and engaging for students from different backgrounds, whether they are future engineers, scientists, or preparing for university entrance exams.
Beyond academia, I also engage in interdisciplinary collaborations that connect mathematics with industry, technology, and society. Through projects in Switzerland and abroad, I have worked on cryptography, statistical modeling, and applied mathematics for engineering and data analysis. MatHelvetica continues this tradition: building bridges between education, research, and innovation, and making mathematical expertise available to both students and institutions.
